BRANCUSI’S COFFEE is a witty homage to famous 20th century Romanian artist, Constantin Brancusi. Maker of the celebrated ‘The Endless Column’. 

Commissioned to fit into a dark and underused section of the client’s back garden. It needed to be tall, slender and enchanting. It would be visible from both the house and  garden thereby having to be successful in its profiles.

Using a 3D printing machine and computer modelling, BC is comprised of 13 individual 18 x 12” stacked on top of each other centred on a steel post. With the shape modelled after a coffee pounder and an ancient coffee pot topping the column.

Its witticism becomes obvious.
