A Toronto green roof as a South-western Ontario Prairie planting. This green roof proved the theory of plant succession by demonstratng that over time, plants will supplant each other. We started with 13 species in 2004 and 10 years later, had 6 dominant species. This roof is only maintained to remove unwanted tree sapplings and provides interest for the whole year to office workers in adjacent buildiings.
